Where will my treatment take place?
Our professional offices are centrally located in Tempe, near Rural Road and Baseline Road. Your treatment will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room; or in a combination of rooms including our physical therapy room. No worries, your privacy will be respected at all times. Soft background music will be played to help you relax. Our facility and equipment is specifically designed for your comfort and security.

Who will perform the treatments?
You can be sure your session will be conducted by a professional licensed therapist who has received proper training and certifications.

Must I be completely undressed?
You should undress to your desired level of comfort and appropriately for the session (mREC sessions are most comfortable with gym shorts and t-shirts). Most of our clients prefer to be completely undressed for massages, while the others prefer to keep their undergarments on. It should be noted that if you leave any clothing on during a massage, such as an undergarment, that area is considered a boundary and cannot be worked. The therapist must leave the room should you decide to remove the clothing article, and cannot remove it for you. Either way, you are the client and your comfort comes first. Our therapists are trained to work with you in all situations.

Will the therapist be present when I disrobe?
The therapist will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table and cover yourself with a clean sheet and/or towel.

Will I be covered during the session?
You will be properly draped and secure at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.

What parts of my body will be worked?
You and the therapist will discuss the desired outcome of your session. This will determine which parts of your body require treatments ie: back, abdomen, gluts, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. You will not be touched on or near your genitals (male or female) or breasts (female).

What should I do during my treatments?
Make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people close their eyes and completely relax. Feel free to let your therapist know if you would like deeper or lighter pressure. You will be encouraged to engage with your therapist during your treatments in forms of feedback, movement, and assistance.

When should I get treatments?
Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to wait until you are stressed or injured to get treatments. Prevention is the safest bet. Maintenance massages and rehab therapy are like a health-supplement or preventative care for a person's body and mind. A regular treatments are a great way to cope with physical or emotional stress and to keep it from causing discomfort or harm to your body.

Should I be concerned about receiving a massage or rehab treatments from a male therapist?
In general, nothing about a therapist's gender will tell you about the style or quality of treatments they give. Some people are more comfortable receiving a massage from a person of the same gender, some from a person of the opposite gender. While no professional wants their services refused based upon their gender, they also realize that if you're nervous about who is giving you the massage, then you won't be able to relax and enjoy your massage. Please note that our therapists are trained, licensed professionals, and have a higher-than-average degree of skill and knowledge, thus ensuring that you are making the right choice by visiting us.

What if I am embarrassed about my body?
Our therapists are professionals and have experience working with all shapes and sizes, from young to old. The focus is to provide therapeutic relief, not judge your physique.

How often should I receive a massage or manual therapy?
The answer to this question depends on your reasons for receiving a massage or manual therapy. For those who use this form of treatment as preventative care or to manage daily stress, once a month is common. Weekly sessions may be necessary if you are receiving treatments for injury relief or to relieve chronic tightness that is interfering with your daily life. If this is the case, weekly sessions are essential in order to build on each week's improvements in healing until the desired results have been achieved. For most people, the frequency of treatment visits depends on how well it fits into a budget. For this reason, we have several membership options to make it easy for you to afford the benefits of our rehabilitative therapy on a regular basis.

What does a massage therapist's license mean?
A license means that a massage therapist has met the requirements and paid the fee to legally practice massage in your city, county and/or state. To obtain a license, a massage therapist will usually have to complete a minimum number of training hours at an accredited or accepted school or training center. In the State of Arizona, a massage therapist is required to complete a minimum of 700 hours of training, pass an extensive FBI and DPS background check, and be licensed with the State.
